Dean Stampfli joined Chute D'Eau Marine in 2008 after four years as Captain/Master with Mid Atlantic Ltd. He exemplifies a hands-on technician with a wide range of applied technical skills gained through working with a large number of companies both local and abroad. Armed with a Captains License together with several certificates in areas such as GMDSS, Costal Navigation and Safety Management Systems training, Dean has tenaciously applied his marine related skills towards furthering marine development activities both in Trinidad and internationally.

Being conversationally fluent in Spanish proved to be an asset when he worked as an International Technician at SWACO Venezuela, as a hands-on technician, he installed and serviced solids control equipment, SMART Data Acquisition Systems and SWACO high pressure hydraulic chokes, as well as provided Filtration Services for Downhole Operations.

His expertise encompasses restoration and refit jobs on Pleasure Vessels, including, but not limited to, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and fiberglass work. He has also been sub- contracted for the refitting and commissioning of water taxis, and has also installed and commissioned fuel management systems.

As Captain/Master at Mid Atlantic, he took delivery of two vessels from Louisiana, U.S.A. to Trinidad; delivered relief supplies to Grenada after hurricane Ivan, and provided tanker tending for BHP SPM operations in Galeota. Other functions as Captain/master included responsibility for onboard management and safety of crew and vessel, and scheduling of onboard maintenance with regards to operations.

Dean displayed his leadership capabilities when he founded his own company, Loafer Cruises, in Tobago, during which time he owned and managed the business of a 50' Catamaran for Charters which he self catered and maintained. He then made a switch back to Trinidad where he provided Captain Services for Inter Island Vessel Deliveries; supplied diving services to the yachting sector; and provided mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs to the private yachting sector, as well as yacht management services.

Dean offers to clients of Chute D'Eau Marine a package of solid and reliable technical skills geared to ensure efficient and effective implementation and on time completion of the marine industry services provided by his company.
